About Us

Skip Wickens

Skip is the Founder and Director of RADIATE. Following a vision for young people, especially the fatherless and incarcerated, Skip, along with his wife Philis, has launched a mentor-based ministry for youth who need to know God as a Loving Father, Jesus Christ as a Merciful Saviour, and the Holy Spirit as an indwelling guide.

Skip has been a Youth Pastor in local church ministry for over 12 years. Throughout his ministry, he has relied on the Holy Spirit to use his spiritual gifts of faith, wisdom and discernment to reach students through his mission.


	Skip’s ability to lead and mentor both students and colleagues has given him the ability to attract Christ-following adults in an effort to produce Christ-following youth. His ability to cross cultural lines seamlessly allows him to mesh comfortably with all people without judgement.

Philis Wickens

Philis is the Connection Director of RADIATE. Having a heart for children and youth since childhood, she is a former Special Educator who now uses her talents in God’s work. Equipped with the Spiritual Gifts of Teaching, Encouraging, Compassion and Faith, Philis allows God’s grace to work through her.

Philis has worked alongside Skip for over 12 years of youth ministry. Her keen insight has helped her to determine the unspoken needs of many of ‘her’ youth. She also stresses communication with parents and other family members of the youth she works with in order to build a positive team effort.

Philis graduated the University of Maine with a degree in Education and has avidly continued her education in order to be more effective for God’s work.

Lamont Robinson

Lamont has just recently joined our team. He is currently supporting our GPS class as well as serving as a mentor for these boys. We are very Blessed to have him. More information will follow soon.
